New Hampshire sources
- USGS Geographic Names Information System: names and mapped locations of falls
- White Mountain National Forest: site, trailhead, fee and rule details
- NH State Parks: state park pages and hiking maps
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder: town and county
- Wikipedia and Wikidata: history and published heights, cited on each page
Our rules
- We give a height, trail length or difficulty only when a source publishes it, and we cite that source.
- Distances between falls are straight-line distances, not trail or driving distances.
- A mapped falls location is not a trailhead. We give directions only to parking areas that an agency lists.
- We don't give directions across private land.
- We say swimming is allowed only when the managing agency says so.
Corrections
Conditions and rules change. If something is wrong, tell the managing agency first, then let us know through our contact form.
